This small article (left) appeared on page 12 under the Readers' Websites column in the old Internet Explorer Magazine in 2002. I had not written to the magazine, but I used to be a forum contributor on the magazine's Website, so they obviously pulled my site details from there. Either they were a bit short of contributors that month, or my cartoons (which used to be the original main content) were a good hook. I would love to think it was the latter, but it is probably the former.
To say I was shocked when I saw this would be a bit of an understatement, as it was totally unexpected. I was stood on the concourse at Charing Cross station when I saw it.
Sadly the URL that was printed was incorrect, so any hopes of my hit counter going through the roof were dashed. I did send an email to the letters page to let them know, but no correction was ever printed.
However, a dream come true; I have had two of my cartoons published in a magazine, and given a bit of praise!
ColeBox is very different from those days: the cartoons are gone and the site isn't based on that URL anymore as I have the proper domain name. Beeb as an ISP is no more anyway.
